Tarvaris Jackson has reached an agreement with the Bills on a contract.

Jackson can earn up to $3 million this season.

Buffalo acquired Jackson via trade with the Seahawks.

The Patriots have reached an agreement with Aaron Hernandez on a long-term contract, according to a source.

A fourth-round pick out of Florida in 2010, the tight end has two years remaining on his four-year, $2.785 million rookie contract. The deal is reportedly for five years and will have an annual average of $7.5 million.

New England's Rob Gronkowski, also a Pro Bowler in 2011, signed a six-year, $54 million contract extension in June.

Jonathan Stewart's five-year contract extension with the Panthers is worth $36.5 million. The deal could reach a maximum of $42.5 million, according to a league source. It includes $22.5 million guaranteed. "We are thrilled to be able to extend Jonathan for five additional years," Panthers general manager Marty Hurney said in a statement. "He is a perfect fit for our organization. He is a playmaker who can make the difference in games and we have seen the impact he and DeAngelo Williams have had on our team."

The Panthers have signed Jonathan Stewart to a five-year contract extension. The value of the contract has not been revealed. A four-year veteran, Stewart ran 142 times for 761 yards and four touchdowns in 2011. He enjoyed his best season in 2009 when he ran for 1,133 yards and 10 touchdowns.

The Jaguars have finally agreed to terms with first round pick Justin Blackmon. Blackmon, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2012 Draft, will sign a four-year deal worth approximately $18.5 million. Blackmon was the only remaining unsigned first-round pick from the 2012 NFL draft.

The Dolphins have agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with punter Brandon Fields. The contract is worth $13 million and includes $3.3 million in guaranteed money, according to Fields' agent. Fields was entering the final year of his contract.

Cliff Avril ended his holdout and reported to training camp with the Lions on Sunday morning. Avril, a defensive end, passed his physical and signed his $10.6 million franchise tender. Avril was hoping for a long-term contract, but was unable to agree to a contract by the deadline in July.

The Packers have agreed to a contract extension with punter Tim Masthay. Agent Jonathan Rabinowitz says the deal is for four years. Green Bay has yet to confirm the deal.
